Score & Secure Payment (SSP), a major player in French fintech, acting across the entire payment value chain, today unveils its partnership with Oney, an international bank expert in payment, financing and payment solutions. insurance and French leader in fractional payment. This alliance is in line with the strategy of FinTech, which has been pursuing a policy of active collaboration with innovative players for several months now to enhance its DPA payment platform, notably by integrating a payment solution in several installments.


In a context of a global crisis where improving the consumer’s purchasing path is the focus of companies’ concerns, split payment solutions are proving to be real levers of recovery and growth for companies. According to a study by Oney, 19% of Europeans pay in installments at least once a month. In addition, the split payment method becomes for 72% of them the purchase trigger. This partnership therefore responds to a real demand of which the PSA group is the first beneficiary. From 2021, customers of Peugeot, Citroën and Opel workshops will be able to benefit from a split payment solution by bank account and by bank card in the coming months in France and in several European countries.

A complete and integrate offer to improve the customer offer

Up to now, Score & Secure Payment offered its customers a global collection solution called DPA, Dynamic Payments Acceptance, allowing cash, split or deferred payments to be offered by direct debit and transfer (via SAFEDEBIT, the solution pioneer on account-to-account payment) or by cash bank card. To complete its offer and respond to new consumer uses, Oney’s solution enriches SSP’s DPA offer, in order to offer split payment in 3 or 4 installments by bank card including a payment guarantee for the merchant.

Creator of the first split payment solution in France 11 years ago, Oney offers a solution allowing payment by bank card in 3 or 4 installments, as simply as cash payment by bank card. With experience with more than 500 (e) merchants in all consumer sectors, the solution offered by Oney guarantees customers a fast, secure payment and finding an answer to manage their budget in an agile way. For merchants, Oney guarantees payment and an acceptance rate close to that of a cash payment, ensuring optimal sales conversion.

By integrating this new service into its purchasing journey, the two partners meet the expectations of consumers in a period of strain on household budgets and offer merchants a complete payment offer. This payment solution is considered by customers as an essential service in the same way as after-sales service or delivery. This partnership was born following a call for tenders issued by PSA, which wanted to have a complete offer including split payment by credit card. This is how SSP was able to further distinguish its value proposition with a range of “full service” options for the customer.
