Winner of the “Solution Grand Public 2017” Trophy for Innovative Cards Trophies

We were rewarded at the 2017 edition of the Newsco Group Innovative Card Awards. We received the “Consumer Solution 2017” Trophy for Automatric, our payment solution based on license plate recognition. Developed in Spain and Portugal, Automatric reinvents mobile payment from its car, whether the solution is embedded in a bundle of connected services, or used from a smartphone.

Deployed in 2013 by Oney in Spain and Portugal in more than 100 points of sale, through service stations and car parks, Automatric is a simplified payment solution by recognizing customers from their vehicles. Once recognized via its license plate, the customer only has to validate his payment on simple authentication via a personal code. The proof of payment is then sent to him on his smartphone.

Automatric makes it possible to enroll the consumer in mobility and meets a growing need for simple, fast and fluid payment solutions. The solution is already being used by retailers and parking companies, to the satisfaction of its users with a NPS (Net Promoter score) customers at 76. It also offers great prospects for customers. washing stations, tolls, drives or car rental companies.

Another axis of development: the services available within the connected car. Technical tests were carried out in this direction in 2017 and are currently conducted with European manufacturers.
