Croix, 1 February 2017 – Oney group announces the appointment of Éric Platiau as Chief Operating Officer. With a background managing financial and e-commerce companies, he will be responsible for allocating the resources needed to implement Oney’s strategic projects worldwide. This appointment is part of an effort to speed up the Group’s growth, underpinned by the increased number of cross-disciplinary activities and the launch of major global projects. Éric Platiau also joins Oney’s General Management Committee in order to deal with the new challenges facing the industry.
A graduate of the University of Science and Technology in Lille and of Sciences Po, Éric Platiau has held managerial positions in financial and e-commerce companies for some 25 years, primarily with responsibility for development, internationalisation and digital transformation. These positions include CEO of Cofidis France, Chairman of distance selling and e-commerce properties of 3Suisses Group before being appointed Deputy CEO with responsibility for Finance and Collection at 3SI Group. Éric Platiau has also been Vice-Chairman and Treasurer of FEVAD and Chairman of the Conext trade fair for seven years. He was appointed CEO of Argosyn in January 2014.
As Chief Operating Officer, Éric Platiau will be responsible for Risk Management, Marketing, Electronic Payments, Innovation and IT. He will be tasked with supporting the implementation of Oney group’s development strategy.
