Oney Group unveils its new Board of Directors and the new organisation of its General Management

Croix, 22 October 2019 – BPCE Group has concluded the acquisition of 50.1% of the capital of Oney Bank alongside Auchan Holding. Oney Bank will now benefit from the joint expertise of BPCE and Auchan Holding to accelerate its growth and increase its European presence in the sectors of payment, financing and digital identification solutions. A digital day to day bank will complete the customer offer. Following this change to the shareholding, the Oney Group is announcing a new composition of its Board of Directors, as well as a new organisation of its General Management.

 Jean-Yves FOREL, Chair of Oney Bank Board of Directors

Managing Director in charge of European day to day bank and Paris 2024 Olympic Games Project, BPCE

Jean-Yves Forel, a graduate of IEP Grenoble and with a degree in Economics, began his career in 1983 at Banque Populaire des Alpes. In 1992, after pursing a career in-branch, he was appointed Director of Operations and, in 1995, Central Director. In 1997, he joined Banque Populaire Bretagne-Atlantique as Central Director. In 2000, he was appointed Director of Development at Banque Fédérale des Banques Populaires and became a member of the General Management Committee in 2001. In 2003, he joined Natixis Banques Populaires, as Director of the Banking, Financial and Technological Services Division and a member of the General Management Committee. In 2005, he was appointed Director of the Specialised Financial Services division. In November 2006, he became a member of the General Management Committee and Director of Specialised Financial Services division at Natixis. From 2013 to 2016, he was a member of the Executive Board and Managing Director, in charge of Commercial Banking and Insurance at BPCE Group. Between 2016 and 2018, Jean-Yves Forel was Managing Director in charge of IT, Transformation and Operational Excellence.

Bertrand BORÉ, Board Member of Oney Bank

Managing Director of Mobilis, the Family Office of the Association Familiale Mulliez (AFM).

A graduate of ESCP Europe and the Institute of Actuaries, Bertrand Boré began his career in Japan, as Financial Analyst in M&A for Société Générale. In 1999, he joined Bossard Consultants as Manager of the Financial Sector. In 2004, he joined Generali as Deputy Sales Manager of the employee network, and created the group’s e-business activities. In 2009, he was appointed Deputy General Manager in charge of development at Generali. From 2012, he has chaired and managed Expert & Finance. Since 2016, Bertrand Boré has been Managing Director of Mobilis, the “Family Office” of the Association Familiale Mulliez (AFM).

Stéphanie CLAVIÉ, Board Member of Oney Bank

Director of BPCE Group Accounting.

Stéphanie Clavié has been Director of Accounting at BPCE Group since 2018.

She began her career in 1993 at Salustro Reydel as a financial auditor. In 1998, she joined the Caisse des Dépôts group in the accounting department of its New York-based subsidiary, CDC North America. In 2001, she joined BPCE Group where she held various positions in the financial departments of IXIS CIB and Natixis (responsible for producing the consolidated financial statements), then in BPCE (responsible for accounting standards for retail banking in 2008 and, from 2011, responsible for producing the Group’s financial statements and financial reporting). She is a graduate of the University of Paris Dauphine (Masters in Accounting Control Audit) and of ESSEC Executive Education. Stéphanie Clavié has been Board Member of Banque Palatine since 2017.


Camille COURTOIS, Board Member of Oney Bank

Camille Courtois, a graduate of ESCP, began her career in 1994 at Ernst and Young, in Auditing both in Paris and Melbourne, then in Capital Markets department where she took part in IPO projects for major French clients. She joined Danone in 2003 as Accounting Norms and Processes Director and managed the transition to IFRS. In 2009, after two years at Blédina as Director of Management Control, she became Financial Director of Danone’s Baby Food and Medical Nutrition division in Portugal, before becoming CFO at Danone Japan in 2011. From 2015 to 2018, based in Ghana, she was CFO of the Fan Milk International Group (between JV Danone and Abraaj Group), present in 6 African countries and Denmark. Since August 2018, she has been Financial Director for Auchan Retail International.

Xavier DE MEZERAC, Board Member of Oney Bank

Xavier de Mézerac, a graduate of Essec and Harvard Executive PMD, spent his first 13 years with the American group Corning, a specialist in glass and fibre optics; he has held financial and operational positions in France, the United States and Mexico. In 1990, he became Corning’s Director of Financial Affairs and Development in Europe.

In 1993, Xavier de Mézerac joined EuroDisney, where he was quickly promoted to Chief Financial Officer. In 1997, he was recruited by Alcatel as Deputy Chief Financial Officer of the Group.

In 2000 he became Chief Financial Officer of the Auchan Group and from March 2001 member of the Board of Directors of Oney Bank. In 2007, he became a member of the Executive Committee of the Auchan Group. Since April 2014, Xavier de Mézerac has been Chair of the Oney Bank Board of Directors. He has been General Secretary of Auchan Holding since 2017.

Sixtine FLANDROIS, Board Member of Oney Bank

Product Director

 Sixtine Flandrois, a graduate of ESSCA, began her career in 2001 at Motivation Factory as Project Manager, and in 2004 joined Computer Science Corp in IT consulting & change management for 4 years, before joining SmartBox (CRM). Alongside this, she co-founded Balinea in 2010 (an online wellness treatment booking company). Since 2015, Sixtine Flandrois has been providing digital marketing and business development services to in Amsterdam, where she is now Product Director.

Since 2011, Sixtine Flandrois has held various mandates of Board Members, first at Salad&Co (2011-2014), then on the Oney Bank Board (since 2013), and more recently that of Valiuz and Fashion3 Data.

Dominique GARNIER, Board Member of Oney Bank

Managing Director of the Financial Solutions and Expertise division and member of the BPCE Group’s Executive Management Committee since 2018

Dominique Garnier graduated from ESSCA in 1983 and joined Banque Populaire Anjou Vendée. After a secondment period with the General Inspection of the Banque Populaire Group between 1992 and 1994, he joined the management committee of Banque Populaire Anjou Vendée. In 2001, he was part of the creation of the Banque Populaire Atlantique and was appointed deputy general manager in 2002. In 2008, he became Deputy Director of Strategy at the Banque Fédérale des Banques Populaires. In 2009, when BPCE was created, he was appointed Director of Commercial Banking Coordination and became a member of BPCE’s Executive Committee. Appointed Managing Director of Banque Populaire du Sud-Ouest in Bordeaux in 2010, he led the merger of this bank with Banque Populaire Centre Atlantique. Between 2011 and 2018 he was Managing Director of Banque Populaire Aquitaine Centre Atlantique.

Elisabeth MOREAU, Board Member of Oney Bank

General Secretary, Director of Risks and Compliance at Banque Populaire du Nord

Elisabeth Moreau is a member of the general management committee of Banque Populaire du Nord. Since 2016, she has been General Secretary, in charge of governance, of legal department and the risk-compliance-financial security division. Aged 46, she holds a degree in contract law and a diploma in internal control and risk management from the financial institutions of the University of Paris Dauphine. After beginning her professional career in company reorganisation with a consultancy firm, Elisabeth Moreau joined Banque Scalbert Dupont (CIC Group), where she held managerial positions in the legal field, then in credit analysis-decision-making across all markets. She then joined Banque Populaire du Nord as head of special affairs in 2006. From 2006 to 2013, she was manager of the prevention department and then Director of recovery. At the end of 2013, she was appointed Director of credit, notably in charge of corporate credit granting and structured finance.

Laurent ROUBIN, Board Member of Oney Bank

Chair of the Board of Directors of Caisse d’Epargne Hauts de France

 Since October 2018, Laurent Roubin has been Chair of the Board of Directors of Caisse d’Epargne Hauts de France. He is also Chair of the Board of Directors of SIA Habitat and Société Immobilière Grand Hainaut (SIGH), and a member of the Supervisory Board of EuraTechnologies. He joined BPCE Group in 2002 as Director of Finance and Risk and member of the Board of Directors of Caisse d’Epargne Pas-de-Calais. In 2005, he was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Natixis Asset Management and then Director of Development at Caisses d’Epargne in 2008. From 2011 to 2016, he was Chair of the Board of Directors of Caisse d’Epargne Picardie. In 2016, he was appointed Managing Director of Retail banking and Insurance at BPCE Group. Laurent Roubin began his professional career in 1992 in the Compagnie Bancaire group in Paris and then at Cetelem Spain. In 1996 he joined the Banking and Financial Institutions department of PricewaterhouseCoopers Management Consultants, where he was promoted to Director in 2000.

Aged 49, he is a graduate of Ecole Centrale Paris, University Paris-Dauphine and Stanford University Graduate School of Business.

Philippe TAPIE, Board Member of Oney Bank

Philippe Tapie, who holds a post-graduate diploma in Business Law, began his career in 1991 in the banking sector and has held successive positions as: Foreign exchange trader, interest rate and exchange rate sales person, Head of sales teams, manager of issues on the bond market and finally Senior Banker in charge of the European public sector. Philippe Tapie has held successive roles in the following banking institutions: Indosuez, CCF, and HSBC. In 2014, he turned to the Silver Economy and was appointed Managing Director of the Maisons de Famille Group (Creadev), having been a director and then chair of the board of directors of the same entity since 2008. Since 2007, Philippe Tapie has also held various director positions on the boards of AFM companies: Mobilis management and treasury committee (which he chaired from 2007 to 2017), Sonepar (2000-2018) and was already a member of the Oney Bank Board of Directors.

A new organisation for the Oney Group’s General Management

The Oney Group also presents the new organisation of its General Management. These developments are in line with the Group’s desire to put the customer at the heart of its strategy and accelerate its European deployment.


The newly created Board of Directors is renewing its confidence in Jean-Pierre Viboud, Managing Director of the Oney Group since 2008, by confirming him in his position.

 Jean Pierre Viboud (56) has a Master’s degree in Management Sciences and in Financial and Accounting Auditing from PARIS IX DAUPHINE, as well as a Diploma in Chartered Accountancy. He began his career at Price Waterhouse Coopers (PwC), where he held successive positions as Auditor, Missions Manager and Manager. In 1993, he joined the Redcats Group (PPR), and became Financial Director of La Redoute Catalogue Benelux in 1995 and then Marketing and Financial Director in 1999. In 2000, he joined the Oney Group as Group Finance Director. In 2003, he was appointed Managing Director for France. Since 2008, he has held the position of CEO of Oney Group and Chairman of Spain and Portugal.

 Nicolas DREYFUS

 A graduate from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce in Reims, and with a degree in Accounting and Financial Studies (DECF), Nicolas Dreyfus (48) began his career in the Constantin group. He then joined the REXEL group (PPR Group) as internal auditor for Europe, North America, Latin America and Oceania before becoming financial director of Rexel Chile and Rexel United Kingdom. Nicolas Dreyfus joined Oney Group in 2004 as Group Chief Financial Officer before being appointed Managing Director of Oney Portugal four years later. Managing Director of Oney France from July 2012 to December 2017, Nicolas Dreyfus was then made Director of Strategy, Chairman of Oney France and Oneytrust.

 With a Master’s degree in General Finance from KEDGE Business School, Julien Cailleau (46) began his career as Financial Controller at BNP Paribas (1998) before becoming Controller of International Finance at Oney (2002). He was quickly appointed Chief Financial Officer of Oney Portugal. From 2005 to 2008, he held the position of Managing Director Russia before taking over the Group Finance Department until 2012. He was then appointed Managing Director of Oney Portugal. A member of the General Management Committee, since 2015 he has held various positions including Director of the Russia and Asia zone, Director of New Markets and Chief Data Officer.


Director of Customer Value-Creation, Chairman of Oney Poland, Oney Romania, Smartney (Poland) and Oney Insurance

 Gilles Marion (56) is an Arts et Métiers ParisTech Engineer, with a Master’s degree in Financial Techniques from ESSEC Business School and a master’s degree in Physics. He began his career in the financial world at Compagnie Bancaire, where he held several positions from 1990 to 1997: Management Controller, Subsidiary Financial Director and Head of Investor Relations and Rating Agencies. He then joined Paribas in 1998 in the same position, before becoming Managing Director of Cetelem Bank Poland (2001) and Managing Director of BNP Paribas Personal Finance Greece, in 2006. In 2009, he joined Oney as Managing Director France, before being appointed Group Chief Financial Officer and then Director of Insurance and Central Europe Zone.


Group Transformation, Communications and CSR Director

 Mylène Engelspach is joining Oney’s General Management, taking over responsibility for the Transformation, Communications and CSR Department. This Department, newly created to support the group’s transformation and European growth will play a cross-disciplinary role, in connection with all of the group’s internal and external stakeholders, to set Oney on its path to transformation.

A graduate of EDHEC Business School, Mylène Engelspach (36) joined Oney as an External Communications Officer in 2005. From 2008 to 2009, she was in charge of Prospective Business and Development within the France Marketing Department. In the same year, she was appointed Group Communications Manager then Group and France Communications and CSR Manager in 2013. In April 2017, to respond to rapidly growing international challenges, Mylène Engelspach focused her work on the Group perimeter, taking up the position of Group Communications, Brand and CSR Manager then Communications, Brand and CSR Director in March 2018.


Group Human Resources Director

 A graduate of the Catholic University of Lille (ESAD) and with a Master’s degree in Management and Business Strategy, Adeline Bataille (52) began her career as a Financial Advisor at Cetelem (1986 – 1989). She joined the Oney Group in 1989, where she held a number of senior positions: Executive Assistant, Training Manager, Store Support Manager, Customer Sales Manager, Customer Service and Collection Manager, Customer Service and Collection Manager, Quality and Organisation Manager, Risk Manager, Human Resources Manager, Information Systems Manager, Human Resources and Quality Manager France. Since January 2015, she has been Director of Human Resources for France and Group, then Director of Human Resources and Group Communication.


Audit Officer

 Holder of a Master’s degree in Accounting and Financial Sciences and Techniques, Benoît Derville (62) began his career in 1982 as Assistant Management Controller at Auchan Hypermarkets. In 1985 he joined a Task Force responsible for designing the IT accounting and financial system at the Auchan and Boulanger joint purchasing centre.  In 1986, he was appointed Administrative and Financial Officer of Oney Group. From 1990 to 1998, he joined the TDL Group (Transport Distribution Logistics) as Managing Director of Messaging and Chartering. He rejoined Oney Group in 1998 as Control and Project Director before being appointed to the role of Group Audit Director in charge of periodic inspections within the Oney Group.


Chief Operating Officer, Chairman of Oney Hungary*, Chairman of Oney Ukraine

A graduate of the University of Science and Technology of Lille, the Faculty of Finance of Lille and Sciences Po Paris, Éric Platiau (54) has occupied senior positions in financial and e-commerce companies for 25 years. He has held the positions of Managing Director of Cofidis France, Chief Executive of the VAD and e-commerce brands of the 3 Suisses Group and then Deputy General Manager of Financial Activities and Recovery for the 3SI Group. In addition, Éric Platiau held the position of Chief Executive of the Conext trade fair and Vice-Chair and Treasurer of FEVAD for 7 years. From 2014 to 2016, he held the position of Managing Director of Argosyn. Eric Platiau joined Oney in 2017 as Group Chief Operating Officer  He is responsible for the Group’s IT, Project and Security Departments and for implementing shared platforms and resources. He also leads the Risk business activities. He is becoming Chairman of Oney Hungary and Oney Ukraine.

Marketing Director, Chairman of Oney Data

Marion Sanchez (48) holds a Master’s degree in Business, obtained in 1994 from NEOMA Business School Reims. Over the course of her career with Société Générale, Randstad and American Express, she has dealt with all facets of marketing as a Marketing Manager, Real Estate Product Manager, B2B Marketing Project Manager and Director of Business Cards and Partnerships. Since 2011, she has been Marketing and Digital Director, member of the Commercial Banking Management Committee at HSBC, in France, then Canada and more recently in the United Kingdom. In August 2019, Marion Sanchez joined Oney as Group Marketing Director within General Management.  Marion Sanchez has been appointed Chairman of Oney Data.


Group Chief Financial and Legal Officer

A graduate of the ESCP, Geneviève Vitré-Cahon (55) began her career in 1987 at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She joined the Chanel Group in 1995 where she successively held the positions of Director of Accounts, Director of Financial Control and then Deputy Chief Financial Officer. In 2005, she joined the Redcats Group as Financial and Legal Director of La Redoute and then General Manager of Redcats Benelux. Geneviève Vitré-Cahon joined Oney in May 2015 as Group CFO. Since October 2015, she was also holding the position of Deputy General Manager.
